Dr. (brig.) Pankaj Puri

Director of Gastroenterology and Hepatology of the Fortis Escorts Liver and Digestive Diseases Institute in Okhla, New Delhi, is Dr. (Brig) Pankaj Puri, a graduate of Pune's Armed Forces Medical College. At PGIMER in Chandigarh, Dr. Puri earned his DM in gastroenterology after earning his MD in medicine from Pune University. He completed a liver transplant fellowship in London, United Kingdom. At the Army Hospital (Research Referral), New Delhi, where he was previously the Head of Department for Gastroenterology and Hepatobiliary Sciences, he played a key role in the establishment of a fruitful liver transplant programme. He previously held the positions of Professor and Head of Internal Medicine at Armed Forces Medical College Pune, as well as Professor of Medicine at Delhi University.

He has over 80 publications to his credit and serves on the Governing Council of the Indian National Association for Liver Study. Dr. Pankaj Puri has been practising gastroenterology and hepatology for two decades. He is an expert in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, and liver transplantation. His research interests include the treatment of hepatitis B and C, chronic liver disease, liver transplantation, and improved endoscopic procedures. Pankaj Puri has two decades of experience in Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
